Here At Last!

Today is an amazing day!

In addition to completing edits on the second edition of “Until The Streets of The Hood Flood with Green.” I’m also writing to YOU in my new blog 👍🏾.

Completing edits to the book, which will release in San Francisco next month at the main branch of the Public Library, is a load off of my mind.

Sitting here writing to you now also brings me tremendous joy.

So much so that it brings tears to my eyes.

I’ve wanted so many times to express to you exactly what The Electric Smoothie Lab Apothecary (TESLA) is doing…through this format…in addition to the book.

But between doing Green Smoothies for elders and children in the East Oakland community where I live, hustling to make ends meet, and taking care of the myriad projects involved in transforming our local food system, I did not have capacity, space or time.

Coming here to Copenhagen and being here and resting and planning and dreaming and feeling the support of Lesley Ann’s beautiful international community, (all of whom are super eager to know how they can support peace in my troubled home land-America) coming here has given me the space and the courage to do this.

If you haven’t read the first edition of “Until The Streets of The Hood Flood with Green,” then you may not know about the mystical journey I’ve been on since I stood outside of Fazule’s Plumbing on the corner of Maple and Macarthur on May 11th, 2017.

While standing on that corner and waiting at the bus stop I prayed for a miracle to re-calibrate and re-energize my life.

My angels answered by illuminating clear pathways of opportunity and wisdom that have brought me here, after many wonderful happenings in over a year’s time…to my buddy Lesley Ann’s crib in Denmark.

Together we have been nurturing peaceful energies and dreams, listening out for the angels as they pronounce next steps. This organic process has culminated in our organizing this summer’s North American Tour, “Ketchup is Not a Vegetable.”

Launching this tour back home means that we will have a chance to share the wisdom and the hope we are receiving from growing food and harvesting food and taking in natural homegrown food and in turn, nurturing and restoring our essential relationship with our beautiful, ever giving, abundant Mother Earth.

This is integral to the life of human beings on the planet. Restoring balance to our food systems and our lands will result in restoration of our Souls.

The coming to know this and sharing it with the world as a pathway to our individual and collective healing is my destiny.

Words cannot express how honored and privileged I am to have the opportunity to step into it and behold the many lessons and blessings sure to unfold.

Tomorrow we travel to the UK, then to Berlin…promoting Lesley-Ann’s Book, “Decolonial Daughter” and this project, a prescription for restoration, healing and LOVE.

I will post from the road.

With Love, Respect and Joy!
